Following are a list of sites which may be interesting to people over 50. I have tried to pick a sample of what I consider to be good sites; relatively easy to use with valuable information. National Seniors
National Seniors Australia head office web site.

Productive Aging Centre
National Seniors Productive Aging Centre does research with seniors to investigate their interests and concerns.

Maroondah Council
The council web site has much valuable information on it (although you may need to explore the menus on the left) including their Community Guide and Aged Care and Senior Events under Community and Health and Whats On in Maroondah under Leisure and Culture.

Maroondah Photographic Society
Photography is an excellent hobby for Seniors and another way to stay involved.

Maroondah Healthy Ageing Network
What is happening in all the other seniors groups in Maroondah.

Seniors Portal
This is the Federal Government portal to a multitude of resources for Senior Citizens. It is well worth exploring.

Seniors Online
This is the Victorian Governments portal for people over 60. "Content ranges from information on relevant Victorian Government programs and initiatives to community contacts and links to relevant organisations and will continue to grow as the website matures"

Consumer Affairs
This site has details about the latest scams to avoid and also a lot of helpful resources for people planning a major purchase. It is well worth taking some time to explore.

Human Services Directory
If you are looking for any form of help or assistance the Victorian Department of Human Services maintains this excellent searchable database of agencies providing assistance of all kind.

Seniors Driving Safety
This web site has some excellent information about safety issues for older drivers. It is well worth having a look at

This is Australia's largest caravanning directory. If you are going away camping or with a van check here first.

Brain Australia

Depression is a problem which can strike at any age and which is often unrecognized in older people. This site has excellent information about recognizing understanding and treating this illness.

This actually enables you to examine and turn the pages of some amazing texts from the collection of the British Library
